Upcoming lecture: 1/25 at 2pm, on WWI: Origins and Events

Please join the Historical Society of Easton at the first lecture of the winter season focusing on the origins and events of World War I on Sunday, January 25th at 2 PM in the Easton Public Library’s Community Room. We welcome Dr. Julie Mujic, Assistant Professor of History at Sacred Heart University to Easton for the first time to present her work.

The lecture will explore how the United States was mobilized to support the war and the propaganda that was employed toward that end. In addition, Ms. Mujic will discuss how the home front reacted to the news from abroard as well as the impact that the Great Pandemic influenza epidemic of 1918 – 1919 had on the post war world and generations to come.

Dr. Mujic specializes in 19th Century United States history, the American Civil War, 20th Century United States foreign policy, and history of the Soviet Union.

Please join us on Sunday, January 25th at 2 PM at the Easton Public Library’s Community Room at 691 Morehouse Road, Easton. The lecture is free but donations are always welcome.
