A Special Summer Lecture with Dr. Kyle Roberts
Join us this Sunday, July 5th, at 12:30 PM for a special summer lecture exploring the deep and often defiant role that Congregationalist faith played in the American Revolution. Our speaker, Dr. Kyle Roberts, Executive Director of the Congregational Library and Archives, will illuminate the theological convictions and community bonds that made New England’s gathered churches a seedbed of revolutionary thought and action.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, this lecture offers a timely look at the powerful role Congregational churches played in shaping our nation. The talk will be held at the Congregational Church of Easton, 336 Westport Road, in their newly air conditioned church hall, with refreshments served. The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome.
While you are here, we invite you to visit the Staples Academy gallery and see the Historical Society’s latest exhibits on Easton’s history.
